Tips for using it

  • Draw a continuous line across the grid, dropping to a new row at each change of status.
  • The four row totals should add up to 24 hours.
  • Write the city and state in the remarks each time the duty status changes.
  • Sign and date every sheet, and keep it with that day's shipping papers.

No. It is a paper record-keeping sheet. Many carriers are required to use an electronic logging device; check the federal hours-of-service rules for whether paper logs are allowed for your operation.
Is this legal advice?
