GPS tracking for generators. Where it is, and how many hours it has run.

A generator on a jobsite is a target, and a rental generator is billed by the hour. Wire a tracker to its own power and you get the location, the engine hours and a tow alert; tuck a battery unit on the portable ones.

  • Engine hours and mileage
  • Tow alert if it moves with the ignition off
  • Battery units for portables

Tow alert

Pick by what powers it

It has a battery bank, or it doesn’t.

A generator with 12 V or 24 V power takes the wired equipment tracker. A portable with nothing to tap takes a battery unit.

This is what you log into. Real screens, not a mock-up.

Every tracker reports to a platform you sign into from any browser or your phone. These are its screens, as they are today. Names, plates, serials and addresses on them are demo values.

What it does for a generator

Hours on the record, theft on the phone.

Engine hours, not guesses The equipment tracker logs engine hours and mileage, and schedules maintenance on either one.
Tow and power alerts Moved with the ignition off, or external power pulled: you hear when it happens, not when the crew notices.
Jobsite arrival and departure Which generator is on which site, on and off, with the times on the record.
History, reports, users Six months of map history, two years of reports, unlimited users on the web platform, your own icons and photos.

Before you buy

The questions generator owners actually ask.

Straight answers. Where the honest answer is "ask a GPS Veteran," it says so.

Wired or battery?

If the generator has 12 V or 24 V power, wire the equipment tracker to it: three wires, power, ground and ignition, and you get engine hours and a tow alert. If it is a portable with no power to tap, use a battery unit: no wiring, and a recovery mode when it goes missing.

Who installs the wired tracker?

Any installer: three wires, power, ground and ignition. Optional install and trip charges are quoted.

What happens when a battery tracker’s battery runs out?

The battery-powered units are long-life and disposable: the internal battery is not rechargeable or replaceable. At the end of its service life the unit is recycled and a new one is purchased.

Is there a warranty?

The equipment tracker carries a three-year device warranty. On the battery-powered units the warranty covers a defective device: they are disposable, so a unit whose battery is spent is replaced rather than claimed.
